Some essentials Catholic of all age must know, must embrace and not compromise or undervalue: as Catholic identity
1. Words Are Sacred – refuse to be careless with daily usage of Words. Words either build or destroy. NEVER compromise with rough language.
2.Mandatory: READ the Word of GOD day and night at least for 10 minutes. It is more important than your breakfast or dinner. If your standard family language is: have you had your breakfast?
Revise to: Had your breakfast ,- The Word of GOD? This applies to all age groups.
3. Daily Rosary.:
3.1 pray for heads of family, pray for All family members; pray for souls in limbo/purgatory. – especially our ancestors ./ Turn all your complaints towards the clergy into prayer points. (this way we avoid agreeing)camping with the accuser – the devil n his demons) against our struggling clergy. Clergies don’t drop from heaven – they have parents like yours and mine. Either rough & gruff or refined parentage: be patient And pray for them. Btw, Moles are planted – just as the parable on the weeds in the fields that grow alongside The Wheat! You know who planted the weeds.
3.2. Bless our family, our forebears, our country And pray for our politicians: pray for world peace and for conversion of us sinners.
3.3 pray for our personal challenges.
3.4. Mandatory: adoration of The Blessed Sacrament: is as crucial as the air we daily breathe.
For All age groups. Once a week is good . At least once monthly for 15 minutes.
3.5 Halloween – what is that?
Let’s do All Saints Day – dress day.
3.6. 10 Commandments: have a large One in your living room beside the Main Altar.
3.7 Let’s ensure Mandatory: Altar for Christ in our Living Room. As we pray He is really present.
Blessings.
A couple items not mentioned – sending out religious themed Christmas cards instead of snowmen or Santa Claus; wearing a cross around your neck. I don’t think an Advent Wreath was mentioned.
