Hi guys,
Excellent podcast idea. You have to feel guilt and you have to feel contrition in order to make a good confession. You have to acknowledge to yourself that they are sins. Then you have to be repentant. Genuinely repentant and not just giving lip service to the priest and ultimately to God. God knows better.
Strangely enough I have to fully believe that it is up to God to determine if I have sinned or not and it is not up to me. I evidently want to give him an argument and I consider that part of the attacks made upon me as far as spiritual warfare. As Fr. Pagano says you are conceding your will to God by going to confession.
The seven deadly sins and ways you commit them can be obvious – lies, slander, etc. But suppose you have clinical depression how can that be a sin? I really don’t know if it is a venial sin to judge others. Is judging people a sin or just natural behavior? We all do it most of our day quite frankly.
Thank you for the tips and another excellent podcast that is helpful to an everyday Catholic.
I never got into Facebook thank God. I feel like it is a form of addiction.
Hay guys, I have a question that has made my head hurt. ~ 2 Kings Question?
In 2 kings 5:14-17, there is a line at the end ..Naaman said: “If you will not accept, please let me, your servant, have two mule-loads of earth, for I will no longer offer holocaust or sacrifice to any other God except to the Lord.”
Q: What does two mule-loads of earth have to do with anything in this reading?
