Hi guys and Fr. Gregory Pine
Thank you for this episode. Is my soul Catholic or Protestant is a question I have asked myself in the past few years during my own journey to God. I have gotten closer to Mary by saying the rosary a few times per day but spiritual warfare attacks on me got very serious as far as pulling me away from Jesus and Catholicism. I have read some comments from other Keith Nester rosary crew members and spiritual warfare is very real and very intense with some individuals! No-one gives a think, never mind a lone thought, to the devil personally until he attacks us! He is the world’s abstract of evil.
Yes, the ‘integrity of faith’ and Jesus scriptural arguments for it asked Fr. Rich of Fr. Gregory. He asked him to expound on it. Interesting argument that you have to believe all of the articles of faith or there is a fallen away integrity from faith, Fr. Gregory. God awards those who seek Him is in the scriptures.
Yes, Fr. Gregory is wonderful but he doesn’t speak like a layman because he can’t. I am sure he has either a Master’s or a Doctorate in Theology which makes him think there is empirical knowledge in all of his viewers which is just not there. At least not me. Never get matter of fact when you are preaching to a secular audience.
But, it was a learning episode and thank you guys! I will watch it again to understand theological references better.
Fr. Gregory’s commentary and humor are delightful. His mind is marvelous, please don’t discourage anyone from listening to him.Even if the references go over your head, gather what you can and, as you suggested, listen again to catch more, write down the books he mentioned and look them up! I am a Presbyterian going through RCIA now, will be received by the Church this Easter Vigil, so I too have been wrestling through issues central to my faith journey. After finding Fr. Gregory here, I’ve listened to the Godsplaining podcast and highly recommend it! The Catholic faith is full and rich – we will be gathering and working through an understanding of it until we meet Our Lord face to face. For spiritual warfare – St. Michael will grant protection – pray and use the sacramentals. Bless you, Sister on your path.
