3/25/1951 was the last time Easter/Annunciation coincided.

I stumbled upon your show on YouTube and truly love the show. It’s been a few days but I am through episode 12 and getting worried about running out of episodes and going into withdrawals. Keep up the good work. Praying for your success and longevity with this work.

Peace be with you & Merry Christmas,

Thank you Catholic Talk Show for sharing this Talk Show Episode with me and others. I have really learned a lot of things regarding Christmas. Please keep it up and may our Lord bless your hard work. Amen

But didn’t you say that March 25 33AD was the date of the Crucifixion? Not Easter? So we would want to see when the next time the Crucifixion (Good Friday) and the Annunciation are on the same day. Correct?

The Christmas season lasts more than 12 days. The Christmas season ends with the Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord. Therefore, this year it ends on January 13.

    Hi guys,
Just watching your Christmas special in August, 2019. I am a new fan. I love Christmas hymns and carols and they run through my head most of the year. All of a sudden Joy to the World or one of my favorites will just float into my consciousness. I play them continually and daily from November 1st through end of January as I start the Season early and after Little Christmas or the Feast of the Epiphany.

When I was younger and did a lot of entertaining I spent the whole month of December cleaning and preparing and decorating and cooking and baking. I was too wrapped up in the wrappings of Christmas or Christ Mass, or his feast day which you pointed out and I knew beforehand. I also knew the X is the Greek symbol for Christ. I have been reading and learning about all things Christmas since I was a little kid reading Xmas stories and singing Xmas songs. I thoroughly enjoy your enjoying all the religious traditions along with me. Good show!

Thank you for teaching us about how Jesus’ birthday was established from the Annunciation date or @March 25th!

I can’t tell you how much inner peace, or grace, and inner excitement comes over me during Advent when so many people practice good will more at this time of the year then any other time of the year. I wish it would last in our hearts all 365 days. When we celebrate we are also celebrating the advent of the Second Coming. You mention that and Catholics get reminded of this during homilies.

I always got a book at Christmas as well as candy in my stocking. My parents told me every story they knew about the saints or about Christmas. I devoured the information and it sticks with me today. I have books I read traditionally during Xmas, A Christmas Carol, and Winter Solstice plus a book I have that is a Treasury of Xmas stories and poems written by famous classic authors down through the ages. Christmas is a time of recollection.

Future shows on St. Thomas of Aquinas, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine of Hippo, St. Jerome and Elijah would all make for interesting podcasts. Thank you for teaching us more about St. Nicholas and his life. The Xmas tree tradition we have today came from Germany to Queen Victoria then from England to the colonies. The Yule log was from the middle ages. You had to save an ember from the previous Christmas Yule log to light the new Yule log. I liked the whole story of the tree of creation or the pine tree. Fascinating as Spock would say!

What is the difference between a Christmas carol and a Christmas hymn? Or is there a difference other than semantics?

Thank you guys just for being you, interested and loving in your faith.
    God bless us all!
