  1. Andrew says:

I believe Aliens to be demons. Everyone who claims to have been abducted by aliens (John Mack) research have been probed, hurt and deceived. Many abductees claim calling out to Jesus causes them to flee. Is the Vatican telescope in the desert facing the sky anything to do with aliens?

    1. Robert says:

Hey Andrew, I agree with you. Did you ever see a video about a boy named Jeremy. He had a near death experience and was shown the future by Jesus. He said aliens where really Demonic Aliens –part of satan’s army. If you never saw that video you should search for it. Take care and stay Blessed.

    2. Dorothy Miller says:

Yes, I believe that Aliens are the fallen angels the Bible speaks about. God’s angels don’t abduct people or harm animals, or scare and put fear in people. God’s angels don’t appear in ships. (UFO’s) to create confusion and awe and then have people believe they are gods. God’s plan has never changed, through temptation man makes changes to satisfy his needs, not what God has and wants for us! it is called Free Will.
When God cast out lucifer and 1/3 of the angels from heaven. They were bent on destroying God’s plan on earth for Man, by polluting every thing He Had Created. By procreating with creatures God had created, on land and sea and women to create a race not in line with God’s Salvation when he Comes Again. That is why we hear strange creatures of Greek mythology, Giants, Nephillian, etc..These creatures were destroyed during the flood. Now we have the Aliens to start this process again!

      1. Chris says:

So I agree with your beliefs. But it appears these aliens in genesis were making things via DNA science, but not all of them died in the flood. Aliens have been messing with humans DNA from our inception and to this very day. A flood won’t harm those with flying crafts, which clearly do exist as they are spoken about in Solomon and Ezekiel. Ezekiel is a perfect example of DNA manipulation with all the weird creatures they spoke about.

      2. Misty says:

I agree 99%. One common error I see frequently however, is the notion that demonic entities, Lucifer & the fallen angels, have the ability to mate with humans, demonic angels being pure spirit, non-corporeal entities, nor do they have the ability to take on, or “create” a physical body for themselves. They can assume the “appearance” of a human, animal, insect, or other life form, but that would be an “apparition”, NOT a true physical appearance complete with the ability to procreate human offspring. Therefore, from what I’ve read, the corrupt entities wiped out in the Great Flood, were corrupted thru SIN. I’m wondering if the description of their malformed bodies as “giants” is a corruption due to sin, or some deformity allowed by God, since Spirits & humans CANNOT mate.?

    3. Tsukino says:

I was actually thinking the same recently. It could be a hypothesis or theory, that in the end of times… God’s enemy would do “wonderful” signs that would deceive a lot.

I was thinkin of aliens. With their “powers” and “advance knowledge”… Have you ever heard the news about the chief of security in israel that he wrote a book that israel has an idea that there are aliens here already in earth, and even trump has an idea about it? And the thing is, Trump suddenly made a change into Catholicism even if he lost.

The stuff we watch about aliens in pop culture is really… Not that in reality

      1. Joann Glacken says:

        Trump is not Catholic.

    4. David says:

Your correct that is exactly what they are..

    5. Brittany renee says:

yeah maybe space demons there was a show about a lady who was trying to send high frequencies to communicate with a demon in space supposedly and now shes dead after she opened a door to another dimension

  3. Mark says:

Love the new set guys. Thanks for your ministry.

  4. Richard Salvucci says:

You can’t be serious. The Church in an existential crisis and you were if ET can be saved.

  5. Christopher says:

I promise not to say a word about Klingons on Uranus, but we need to remember a few things while proclaiming the good news to Extra Terrestrials. Adam and Eve discovered they were naked upon eating the forbidden fruit, so naturally, we should assume that Alien Life Forms, especially those with their junk swinging freely, might not have been stupid enough to eat the forbidden fruit. Therefore these aliens would have no need of salvation, and it would be unethical to breech the Prime Directive to stray from God’s will.

  6. Patrick Eoin Brogan says:

Guy Consolmagno, SJ is NOT a priest. He is a Jesuit brother.

  7. Skyler Neberman says:

I think there’s some misunderstanding about the kind of “extraterrestrial life” the Cardinal is talking about. The Cardinal is talking about beings inhabiting the spheres in what C.S. Lewis calls the “Medieval Model” in which Earth is the lowest and most changing sphere while higher spheres contain more changeless and spiritual beings, in the same type of hierarchy as the orders of angelic hosts, from more earthly to more divine. The kind of worlds and beings are not really the same thing as we mean by other worlds and alien inhabitants.

  8. Amy says:

I will not rule out Alien life. They are too many people who have encountered this in their every day lives. Pilots experiencing strange flying objects. Ranchers seeing strange objects in the sky. Those who say they’ve been abducted. To others who say they walk among us and we don’t even know it. Why would we be the only existing ones in this vast universe? God’s power is unfathomable.

  9. Adam says:

Great chat Gentlemen, glad to see some discussion on this topic. In my opinion, this phenomenon poses one of the greatest threats to Christianity/Religion. Frankly it is frustrating that the church hierarchy is not more vocal on this topic. I pray that you all and others in paschal ministry pay closer attention to the data on the public domain. Pay attention to groups like To The Stars Academy and their show “Unidentified” on history channel. The quantity/quality of expert witnesses is difficult to ignore from an objective observer. Do not let your egos shield you from the truth of what is unfolding.

  10. Andrea says:

    Hi guys,
I agree with you Ryan Scheel as far as the stance of the Church mimicking our own. We don’t have definitive information for or against life just the scientific data we are working from today as empirical information. It is all pure speculation and a wonderful source of imagination that comes forth in books and movies. The journey to earth from a greater distance is impossible based on what we know about space travel.

If there is a populated universe that ends up communicating with us it will be interesting to see if God is there as in God is everywhere. We take the everywhere to mean our known universe. What is fascinating is all the artwork on canvas and cave walls that resembles beings in space suits visiting earth. Many were considered gods. But they were all associated with coming from the stars.

I was fascinated with all this when I was into reading sci fi and watching sci fi, but not so much now that the Internet has brought us together. There are billions of people on our own planet to deal with and I am no longer interested in expanding my universe.

Interesting podcast and always informative about the Church view on a subject. Personally I love to learn the truth about any subject but especially the Church of my faith. Pope John XXIII, Pope John Paul II, and Pope Francis are my favorite contemporary popes as they all practiced the ministry of Jesus. They didn’t let the pomp and circumstance of the Church keep them from their flock. They all knew that the highest servant of the Church, the Pope, is the most humble servant of God and that fills me with humility as well.

I didn’t know about the octopi scientific conjecture! I figured they were God’s creation on earth not that the DNA is not a match with any other species generated on earth. Do they know they are different? That is a fascinating mystery in itself as it indicates that life is elsewhere out there. What other kind of life forms exist there that do not exist on earth becomes a major question. If they are rational they would have souls.

I often wonder about the level of consciousness for animals. They do not know about sin but they do make a choice to love us and be loyal to us and protect us. Their souls, such as they are on the scale of souls, are beautiful so I can’t imagine them not in Heaven with us. I have yet to watch your podcast about dogs going to Heaven. What about cats, guys?

Missionaries to Mars or wherever sounds interesting Ryan Scheel. Only God knows if they need salvation and how it will be delivered to alien life forms that may be out there. As far as created beings that we know, angels are glorious beings whose souls we don’t need to pray for. They are part of our salvation as we are each assigned a guardian angel to protect, love, guide us from our birth onto death bringing our souls back to God. Maybe aliens from another universe are beings that do not require salvation as they are already one with God.

Fr. Rich good answer to your extraterrestrial ‘inquisition’ question! Get to know the people first and figure out what they believe and why. Rich Scheel sneaky question about liturgical time vs planet rotation time. Good question as there is no real answer to it as far as our own liturgical calendar built on our year of days. Who is to say they have to follow our liturgical calendar anyway for their salvation.
