King Henry the VIII was not immediately succeeded by his Catholic daughter, Mary. His first successor was his protestant son, Edward, whose mother was Jane Seymour. He was very anti-Catholic.

“Eucharist is medicine for the sick”. As a divorced Catholic, through no fault of my own, I have to disagree. I could definitely use it.

I am so sorry. I went through the same thing 20+ years ago. The worst thing is to lose hope in God! He is with you in your suffering. Do not listen to the evil one because that only makes things worse. The path to Resurrection and healing is through the Cross. The sacraments and prayers and scriptural readings work to the extent that we are disposed to receiving the graces they offer. It is good that you go to websites like this. My prayers are with you Jacinda.

A divorced Catholic may receive the Eucharist. A divorced and remarried Catholic may not. A divorced Catholic who has received a declaration of nullity and is remarried may receive the Eucharist.

Famous Converts show was really interesting! Sadly, there are more famous people who WERE ONCE CATHOLIC and have abandoned their faith, at least for now. Maybe in the future those celebrities, such as Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Mandy Moore, Ron Howard, the Baldwin brothers, and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, will have a reversion experience and return to the Church! Protestant churches would be empty were it not for all of the ex-Catholics!

Hi. Just listened to this today. Thank you for all the wonderful stories. I have one question for Father. You mentioned about all the different divisions in the Catholic Church and included the charismatics. I’ve been attending a charismatic praise and worship hour at hour Church. Is that not good? The mass is still very important to me and I do not believe in bringing the charismatic side into the mass. I don’t even hold hands at the Lord’s Prayer. However, it is important to me that am following God’s will. Should we not have charismatic programs? Thank you for any deeper explanation you are able to provide. God bless and than you for your shows. I’m learning a lot.
