What stands out for me is Mark 8:36 or “What profit is there for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” The question at the heart of it all.
One of my favorite verses are words about Jesus from St. Paul:
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 – words of St. Paul in his letter to the Romans –
Great episode and I am quoting the Bible and the saints always
My favorite is Mt 28:19-20. It is here Jesus gives us our mission (make disciples) but then gives us His promise to support that mission (I am with you alway). How beautiful!
